I am happy to share that my previous company Nuvve Corp. was awarded 2 prestigious “Visionary Awards” at the EPIC symposium by the CEC.
A panel of judges (see picture) awarded Nuvve the “Best in Storage and Mobility” category award for their work on the V2G EPIC project INVENT (Intelligent Electric Vehicle Integration) at the campus of UCSD and their V2G work on school buses. The announcement was made by Commissioner Patty Monahan.
During my last years at Nuvve I had the honor of leading the activity to secure the EPIC funding. Byron Washom, UCSD and myself (with the Nuvve team) worked tirelessly several months on the application and I served as the Principal Investigator for the project. The goal of INVENT (2017 – E2020) is to pave the way for large scale penetration and integration of EV fleets in the California electric grid.
CEC Chair David Hochschild made the other announcement that Nuvve had additionally won one of the Audience Choice Awards.
Please join me to thank CEC for recognizing the importance of V2G and congratulate Nuvve Corp. to this outstanding achievements giving V2G extra momentum.
